How we work

• We co-ordinate the entire operation from the treating hospital to the receiving facility or home address. Repatriation of an intensive care patient can be arranged within a matter of hours.

• All cases are constantly managed and reviewed by our medical team to ensure that information received from the treating doctor corresponds to the patient's current condition.

• The decisions that we make are ethically and medically correct for the patient.

• Wherever possible we transfer high dependency patients by commercial airline; it is faster and more comfortable for patients and usually the most cost effective option.

• Our extensive experience and excellent relationships with the commercial airlines enable Aeromed 365 to use this option when other repatriation companies would be declined.

• We generally only transfer by air ambulance if the patient has an immediate life threatening condition, or in parts of the world where commercial airlines or charters do not venture.

• A full detailed itinerary and schedule of costs is prepared prior to the repatriation and clients are kept informed throughout.
